Topic: I have had a lot of pregnant guppies so I know that this fish is not pregnant. It seems like something is wrong. What are some of the sicknesses that could occur of maybe just bacteria infections with these fish? I’m lost on where to turn or how to fix this. I need all the help I can get here. Does anyone have any experience with this? I do know the faster I fix it the better chances the fish has.

“It’s some kind of bloat. Coax the guppy into eating a small piece of cooked pea; it’s a laxative that will often clear a bloat. If other fish in the aquarium are bloated, it could be more serious.
To start, make sure the water parameters are appropriate and ammonia and nitrite are zero while nitrate is below 40 ppm. If not, change about 25 percent of the water every other day to improve water quality before medicating. Here is a list of symptoms and medications:

Since water quality appears to be good if the test results are accurate, the aquarium may need antibiotics”
